Community Service
All Junior High students are required to complete a minimum of 25 hours of service a year. This is to encourage students to be good citizens that carry on God's work by helping others. Service completed should help bring the Kingdom of God to earth in some way. Think about the Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy, the Beatitudes, God's mission for us, and evangelization.
Students will receive a grade in Religion for their service during each trimester. Below, you will find the community service handbook, community service log, and grading scale that you need to complete this assignment! Extra copies of the log can be found in my classroom as well.
Make sure you are keeping track!
If you signed up to work for a teacher, make sure that you are taking care of that job.
