Back to School Letter

  • September 3, 2019

    Dear Parent/Guardians,

Welcome to a new school year at Good Shepherd Catholic School. First grade is an exciting time; full of new adventures, spending time with friends and learning new things. I am looking forward to working with you and your children this year.

Listed below is some information that will help organize the school year:

    • Please make sure your child’s name is on all personal belongings and the uniform policy is followed.

    • If you need to communicate with me, please send a note with your child, call the office, or send me an email (lcease@goodshepherdschool.net).

    • All school supplies should be sent in no later than Friday, September 8, 2017. Please label all materials, return any summer work your child has completed and all forms needed by the office.

    • Celebrating your child’s birthday is a special time. Please send in a note, ahead of time, to confirm that you will be sending something in for your child.

    • If your child is absent from school, please send a note explaining the reason for the absence. Absent notes are required by Good Shepherd Catholic School.

    • Please arrive to school on time. Children are allowed to enter school as of 7:00 a.m. If arriving after 7:45 a.m., your child will be marked tardy.

    • Every Wednesday your child will bring home a yellow “Wednesday” envelope. Please return the envelope and any needed paperwork back to school on Thursday.

    • Scholastic Book Club order forms will be sent home each month. All orders must be paid Back to in full at the time of purchase. Order forms must have a check or proper payment information if paying by credit/debit card. Please make checks payable to “Scholastic Book Club”. Cash will not be accepted.

    • Educational field trips are being planned for this year. More information to follow.

Thank you for your continued support of our school, valuing a Catholic education and being an active member of the GSCS community!

    Sincerely,

    Lori Cease, 1st Grade Teacher
