Whole Group Reading

    This year we will be reading and listening to books that include fiction (realistic, fantasy, fables, etc.) and nonfiction (informational text).
     
    Skills students will work on include identifying beginning sounds, ending sounds, short vowel words, long vowel words, blending words, segmenting words, reading with expression, understanding characters, nouns, verbs, adjectives, author's word choice, anaylzing, inferring, sensory words, word choice, and evaluating.
