Ms. Moeller

My name is Ms. Moeller, and I am the kindergarten teacher here at Good Shepherd. I am certified in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, Special Education, and ESOL. Before coming to Good Shepherd, I taught full-time for Baltimore County Public Schools, worked as a long-term substitute, worked as a daily substitute (in 40+ schools in Baltimore County across all elementary grades), and student taught there in second grade. I've had several part-time jobs in this field as well including working part-time at a tutoring center, teaching lessons online to homeschooled students, grading tests, and editing curriculum. I've been blessed to be able to do a lot in the field of elementary education, and I just love it! My specialties are teaching students to read, master math facts and calculations, and develop writing skills. I enjoy switching things up for my students including games and enriching experiences, but I am also a strong believer in really mastering the basics through repetitive practice in order to provide a strong foundation for more challenging work. As an adult, I still enjoy doing kid-related activities and continuing to learn. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family (including pets) and friends, the beach, reading, sewing, traveling, and adventure activities.

Salisbury University- Masters in Business Administration; Notre Dame of Maryland University - Certificate in Secondary Teaching

Mr. Johnson

I am beginning my second year at Good Shepherd School.  I am a proud graduate of Salisbury University with a Degree in Business Administration and a Masters in Business Administration.  I worked in the business world for 27 years and was successful in management, sales and as a company president; however, I was always longing to make a difference and loved coaching sports.  When the purchasing of my previous business fell through, I decided it was now time to make a difference and become a teacher. I began taking courses at Notre Dame University of Maryland and became a certified teacher in May of this year.

I love working with the students.  They are all very special and they all have their unique skills and different ways of learning.  One of the biggest takeaways I have from my classes is the differentiation strategies to work with various students with different learning abilities.  We all learn differently and we as teachers need to nurture this and challenge students in various ways. I am very excited and happy to be at Good Shepherd.  I truly feel like God led me here and I feel like I am doing His will by working here.
